What is Trekwell?
Trekwell is an online travel clinic where you can consult with travel medicine specialists to receive a personalized travel health care plan including travel health advice, medication and vaccine recommendations, as well as medication and vaccine prescriptions for your upcoming travels.
How does Trekwell work?
There are two ways to get pretravel health care through Trekwell, a Questionnaire Visit and a Video Visit
Questionnaire Visit – You can start a Questionnaire Visit at any time by clicking on the link at trekwell.com. With this type of visit you complete an online questionnaire at your convenience. Once you have completed and submitted your questionnaire a Trekwell travel health expert will review the details of your travel itinerary and health history. He or she will then create a travel health plan complete with travel health advice, recommended vaccines and medications, and necessary prescriptions. This will be sent to you via the Trekwell secure portal for you to review. You can then schedule a time to get your vaccines and pick up your medications with your pharmacy. This type of visit is best for healthy travelers with shorter and more simple itineraries.
Video Visit – You can schedule a Video Visit by clicking on the link at trekwell.com. Once your appointment has been scheduled you will completed an online questionnaire for our travel health experts to review. When it is time for your visit you will have a video call with a Trekwell travel health expert using Trekwell’s secure platform. During this visit you can discuss the details of your itinerary and health conditions with your travel expert and they will provide you with personalized recommendations regarding vaccines and medications as well as destination specific travel health advice. After your visit you will receive your travel health plan via the Trekwell secure portal for you to review. You can then schedule a time to get your vaccines and pick up your medication with your pharmacy. This type of visit is ideal for travelers with underlying health conditions, long or complex travel itineraries, or unique concerns about their travel plans.
